The holidays are coming, and here’s one ritual we know you don’t want to repeat this year: the frazzled corporate holiday gift campaign. You know the one we’re talking about: …

Holiday Corporate Gift - Snowman

The holidays are coming, and here’s one ritual we know you don’t want to repeat this year: the frazzled corporate holiday gift campaign.

You know the one we’re talking about:

1st – you wait too long to launch it.

2nd – because you’re late, the whole gift selection process ends up feeling rushed.

3rd – you worry: Did my client like it?  Will that great prospect actually use it?  Did they receive it?  (Not to mention … how did I overspend our holiday corporate gift budget – again???)

Okay, enough of this gift stress.  It doesn’t have to be that way.  Here are 5 strategies to get you off the couch and get you started (so stop watching cat videos on your phone, let’s go…)

5 Give the gift of surprise.

The best part about sending a gift really is the surprise factor, so don’t waste it.  Folks, this is not rocket science, so don’t overthink it — you’ll just kill the heart of that good gifting vibe altogether.  At Alyce, we’re like your personal virtual gifting concierge, and when you send a gift with Alyce,  you still own that moment of surprise, but we take care of the entire gifting process, so you get to focus on the fun part: nailing it with the perfect gift.

4 Gift the gift of time.

Okay, this is not just a holiday thing, this is an always-thing:  No one — we mean NO ONE — feels like they’ve got enough time to take care of the little things.  Well guess what: there’s a gift solution for that.  This season, our gift recipients are eating up gifts from the likes of Blue Apron, (ie – the gift of time to pull off a great family meal even though you never thought about a recipe or made a trip to the gourmet grocer).  Others howl for a customized BarkBox, because dog owners LOVE to spoil their pooches, but who has time to get to that hip urban dog bakery when they’re rushing home after a long day at work?

3 Gift the gift of experience.

Sometimes the best gifts don’t come in a box at all.  So let’s wrap up some adventure and put a bow on it.  This year, gifting is an EXPERIENCE.  We’re talking skydiving, trampoline jumping and all manner of high-octane-fun gift experiences.  And for those folks on your list whose definition of a great gift experience is a little less daring, we’ve sent a steady stream of concert and movie tickets, and gift certificates to chill out with a great facial or a massage or some zen-fabulous yoga.

2 Gift the gift of choice.

So you’ve got a Type A gift recipient on our list?  Fear not.  Even if this is the person who likes to make ALL of their own decisions, you can still nail the perfect gift.  Let them own their choice, and rock the gift card selection on the Alyce platform — soooo much to choose from here — and your “type A giftee” is the one who gets to make their choice.  Or if it’s just not your style to send a gift card, go ahead and pick a gift!  Alyce still gives your recipient the chance to accept the gift, exchange it, or donate the value of it to a charity of their choosing.

1 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Otherwise known as: it’s about THEM, not you.

This truth is obvious but somehow folks forget it, so here’s your reminder: it’s NEVER about the sender, it’s about the recipient.  Your gift is your CHANCE – Make ‘em smile, see what delights them, make them feel acknowledged, understood, awesome, and uniquely happy.  And we love helping our clients craft that “nail it” moment of connection with their best customers, prospects and employees — one perfect gift at a time.

So, happy start to your corporate holiday gifting season. Now you’ve got no excuses to be anything other than a gift-giving rockstar this season.

Say Goodbye to a Frazzled Gifting Season!

Let Alyce show you how.
